So this is the first of our monthly updates. I want to do these every month to give you an in-character and out-of-character update about the simulation. I hope you find these useful as we build the simulation to great heights.
The only person who has left this month was Steve (Commander Wren) due to personal reasons, but I have said to Steve, who was instrumental in a lot of what is on this website, that he is welcome back whenever he feels ready to come back to simming. Other than that, everyone has joined us which is great to see that we are now sitting at 4 crew.
Posting & Activity
We completed 20 posts this month, and yes, some of them were from the old website in order for the storyline to have some meaning and prior context but overall, it has been a positive month for the simulation. I want us to target a total of 25 posts this month, I think it is achievable.
Mission Recap (so far)
Currently, we are at Providence Fleet Yards and this month we will be heading off, hopefully soon. We now have the new ship into the storyline and we can get settled into the new surroundings. I would like to focus this month on moving through to the end of MD01 and MD02, and later on in MD02, we will be departing Providence to head out on our main mission
Player of the Month
I am awarding a player of the month each month to the player who I feel has made the best contribution to the simulation and has been a great team player. It won’t always be the most posts, but someone who I feel deserves recognition for the part they play on the simulation. The first player of the month is Lieutenant JG John Stevens
Fleet News & Updates
If you haven’t already, please ensure you have signed up for the BFMS (http://bravofleet.com) and created your character and had them assigned to the USS Excalibur. This way, both our website and fleet manifest are correct. Away from that, the USS Excalibur has been transferred to become a BFA simulation as I was appointed as the new Community Relations Officer within the fleet. A new banner will appear on the site shortly.
Don’t forget our Discord channel at https://discord.gg/UgzHNnc and when you are on there, let me know your username so I can set the right permissions for you. In summary, we had a great January, it was positive to see where the simulation has come in such a short space of time, and I think with the same level of effort from everyone, we will see even bigger things over the rest of this year.
